Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a shelter?
No. We are a volunteer non-profit rescue organization. Our animals are saved from life on the streets, from euthanasia at a kill shelter, and/or situations where an owner can no longer keep an animal.
What does it cost to adopt from your rescue?
Generally speaking, fees range between $300 and $550. The fee will typically be on the higher end if there were extensive costs needed to get the animal healthy (ie. surgery, heartworm treatment..etc.). If you feel the cost is too high, ask what it’s based on and we can provide a breakdown. All of our dogs are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dogs over 6 months have been heartworm tested, and all dogs are either spayed/neutered or will be when they are old enough. See our "Adoption Process" section for more information on these details.
How long does the adoption process take?
On average the entire process will take 1-2 weeks, but can be shorter or longer.
I’ve found a pet I’m interested in. Now what?
The process begins by submitting an application. A volunteer or a foster will contact you from there. If your application is to move forward then the references from the application will be contacted, a home check will be performed (virtual), and a meet and greet will be scheduled. It is not uncommon to be able to take a dog home the day of the meet and greet.
